The Ministry of Education, Science and Culture has funded ImmuDocs National Doctoral Education Pilot based on the Immune System with 20.7M€. The ImmuDocs National Doctoral Education Pilot focuses on immunology, including all types of inflammatory diseases driven by aberrant immune responses. Immunological interventions are at the heart of their prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Healthcare urgently needs specialists, who understand these immunological areas.

The ImmuDocs Doctoral Education Pilot is seeking 81 Doctoral Researchers for 3-year doctoral positions in the fields of immunology, immunology-based drug development, and immunology-based diagnostics during year 2024. The positions are situated in basic, translational, or clinical research based on the project.

The funded positions for doctoral researchers in ImmuDocs are allocated as follows: University of Turku 59, Åbo Akademi University 6, University of Helsinki 10, University of Oulu 2, University of Eastern Finland 2, and University of Tampere 2. The Wellbeing Services County of Southwest Finland and Finnish Vaccine Research are also part of the consortium.

The positions will start on August 1, 2024 or on January 1, 2025. To be eligible for these positions, an applicant’s study right for a doctoral degree must not have been granted earlier than 1 November 2023.
