Short biography of Dr. Skates:

Dr. Steven Skates is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Western Australia and earned his graduate degree in Statistics from the University of Chicago. Dr. Skates is an expert in developing statistical models for early cancer detection, with a focus on ovarian cancer. His work encompasses the discovery of blood biomarkers, the creation of longitudinal algorithms for biomarker-based detection, and the design and execution of screening trials to improve early detection and patient outcomes in ovarian cancer.
