IMMUFELLOW Postdoctoral Programme Call for Applications is open

IMMUFELLOW (Interdisciplinary and Intersectoral Research Fellowship Programme for Future Leaders in Immunology) is a postdoctoral programme co-funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA). In this first call, 11 fixed-term postdoctoral researcher positions will be available. Nine of the positions will be hosted at the University of Turku and two at Åbo Akademi University.  All positions are full-time with  fixed duration of three  years (36 months), commencing in April or May 2026.

Applicants are invited to propose their own research projects with support from a hosting research group from any department of the University of Turku or Åbo Akademi within the broad field of immunology. Projects may range from basic and translational immunological research to e.g., immunology-related clinical applications, diagnostics, drug development, health economics, vaccine research, or health technology, and should align with the scientific strengths of the host institutions. The selection process follows international standards of open, transparent, and merit-based recruitment, including anonymous peer review by external experts.

Eligible candidates must hold a doctoral degree by the application deadline (27 November 2025) and meet the MSCA mobility requirements. IMMUFELLOW researchers will join a vibrant research environment, supported by clinical and industrial partners, and will have the opportunity to undertake  secondments in either non-academic or academic host organisations.

The programme will organise a Call Launch event in October. A recording will be made available on the IMMUFELLOW website shortly thereafter.
