InFLAMES Visiting Professor Gwendalyn Randolph from the Department of Pathology & Immunology at the Washington University School of Medicine will be in Turku between June 10-14. During her stay she will be giving three seminars, all open to everybody. Her first seminar on Thursday and the second overall is titled Peritoneal macrophages and peritoneal pathophysiology.

About Professor Randolph:
PhD Gwendalyn J. Randolph is a Emil R. Unanue Distinguished Professor at the Department of Pathology & Immunology at the Washington University School of Medicine. She has built her career on the research of the trafficking of cellular and molecular cargo out of tissues to distal lymph nodes or downstream organs and the relationship of such trafficking to chronic inflammatory disease.
Gwendalyn has over 180 peer reviewed publications which have been cited over 31 000 times combined. She has years of experience in providing education and is widely responsible for the immunological research in her current university. She has also held the position of scientific advisor in multiple scientific committees and companies, including VaxDesign, Inc., Merck Sharp & Dohme Corp.
