High-throughput omics technologies generate vast amounts of data. However, translating these datasets into meaningful biological insight remains a major challenge and usually requires bioinformatics expertise. Within this context, Ingenuity Pathway Analysis (IPA) is a user-friendly platform designed to support the biological interpretation of omics data, which includes functional analysis, pathway exploration, and data visualization.

In this seminar, Dr. Clemente-Postigo and Dr. Sánchez-Ceinos will present real-word examples of how IPA can be applied and enhance the research through the interpretation of omics data to gain insight into the relationship between metabolism and immune systems. The seminar covers the following talks:

Biological role of lipopolysaccharides on brown adipose tissue metabolic activity.

Mercedes Clemente-Postigo, PhD.
Human Brown Fat Research Group. Turku PET Center (University of Turku/Turku University Hospital). Turku, Finland.
University of Malaga. Biomedical research institute of Malaga (IBIMA). Malaga, Spain.

Novel regulatory drivers of adipose tissue dysfunction in obesity and type 2 diabetes

Julia Sánchez-Ceinos, PhD
Molecular Cardiology Lab, Cardiology Unit, Department of Medicine-Solna (Karolinska Institutet / Karolinska University Hospital). Stockholm, Sweden.
