 peaker\nProf Adrian Liston\, is a Senior Group Leader at the Babraham Inst
 itute and Senior Research Fellow at Churchill College\, University of Camb
 ridge.\n\nListon got his PhD at the Australian National University\, follo
 wed by post-doctoral research on regulatory T cell biology with Professor 
 Sasha Rudensky at the University of Washington.\n\nFrom 2009-2018\, Prof L
 iston ran his independent laboratory at the VIB and the University of Leuv
 en\, in Belgium. In 2019\, Liston relocated his research team to the Babra
 ham Institute\, in Cambridge\, UK.\n\nProfessor Liston has been recently e
 lected a Fellow of the prestigious Academy of Medical Sciences for his pio
 neering research in immunology and neuroimmunology. Fellows of the Academy
  of Medical Sciences are elected for exceptional contributions to the medi
 cal sciences either in the form of original discovery or of sustained cont
 ributions to scholarship. Professor Liston has also been awarded the Franc
 qui Chair\, the Eppendorf Prize\, a Wellcome Trust Investigator Award and 
 three ERC grants\, among other honours. The Liston laboratory currently wo
 rks on understanding the interaction between the immune system and the tis
 sues\, in particular the brain. The laboratory has extensive experience in
  the fields of autoimmune genetics\, diabetes\, primary immunodeficiencies
 \, the thymus and regulatory T cells and has published more than 180 scien
 tific papers\, in the respective fields.\n\nMore details about this resear
