DESCRIPTION:Juha Laine’s lecture Societal and economic impacts and value 
 of advanced treatments for inflammatory diseases is held on 3 May at 3PM. 
 After Laine’s lecture\, Professor Mika Kortelainen will give a lecture C
 ovid-19 Pandemic in Finland: Real-time health economic evaluation. Follow 
 the webinar from here.\n\nDocent Juha Laine has been appointed as Professo
 r of Practice in Pharmacoeconomics. The appointment strengthen the operati
 ons of the InFLAMES Flagship\, joint effort of the University of Turku and
  Åbo Akademi University\, funded by the Academy of Finland. The purpose b
 ehind the professorship of practice in pharmacoeconomics is to increase th
 e societal impact of research and collaboration between the University and
  pharmaceutical companies.\n\nThe newly-appointed Professor of Practice in
  Pharmacoeconomics Juha Laine has a PhD in Health Economics and is Docent 
 of Pharmacoeconomics and Health Economics. Laine works in the pharmaceutic
 al company Roche. In his job\, he is responsible for coordinating research
  that uses real world data such as register-based research while also work
 ing as a health economics advisor. The University of Turku has had a colla
 boration agreement with Roche since 2018. Laine’s recruitment as a profe
 ssor of practise is an additional step in the co-operation of Roche and th
 e University of Turku.\n\n\n\nProfessor of Practice Juha Laine will give a
  lecture in open webinar organised on 3 May 2021 at 3 PM. Juha Laine’s l
 ecture title is Societal and economic impacts and value of advanced treatm
 ents for inflammatory diseases. After Laines lecture\, Professor Mika Kort
 elainen will give a lecture Covid-19 Pandemic in Finland: Real-time health
