 sor Janne Lehtiö.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nJanne Lehtiö has MSc degree in biochemis
 try from Helsinki University\, Finland and PhD in engineering (biotechnolo
 gy) at Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm\, Sweden. Post the PhD\,
  Lehtiö worked a few years in biotech industry in USA and Europe\; and ob
 tained his postdoctoral experience in cancer research at Karolinska Instit
 utet. In 2009\, Lehtiö got his assistant professor (docent) merit at Karo
 linska Institutet and obtained the faculty Professor position 2015. Since 
 2006\, Dr. Lehtiö was appointed as director of the Karolinska University 
 Hospital’s clinical proteomics facility. Currently\, Janne Lehtiö is le
 ading a research group of 30 persons at the Department of Oncology-Patholo
 gy\, KI. He has supervised 15 PhD students and 17 postdoctoral fellows. Le
 htiö has a formal university teacher education and is currently lecturing
  in four graduate programs at KI and is a frequent lecturer at other Swedi
 sh universities and internationally.\n\nDr Lehtiö’s major research inte
 rest is in improving human proteome analysis focusing on precision cancer 
 medicine. Lehtiö has 139 peer reviewed original publication and together 
 with his group\, he has published number of novel methods for proteome ana
 lysis\, multi-omics and cancer research applications in leading journals. 
 The Lehtiö-group’s current proteogenomics research focus is on lung and
  breast cancer as well as on a newly started program on particular childho
 od and adult leukaemia.\n\nLehtiö has also vast experience on research in
 frastructures\, from heading core facilities and national infrastructure i
 nitiatives to expert assignments in the field of technology driven life sc
 ience. In 2014\, he was selected as one of the national research infrastru
 cture fellows by The Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research. Apart for 
 his Scientific Director position in Swedish national bioscience infrastruc
 ture\, SciLifeLab\, Lehtiö also serves in steering board of large nationa
 l SciLifeLab and KAW Data Driven Life Science (DDLS) program\, board of di
 rectors in Karolinska Comprehensive Cancer Center and scientific advisory 
 boards for national infrastructures in both Finland (Biocenter Finland) an
 d Norway (NOPI).
