 in:\n\nTomas Mustelin\, MD\, PhD\, professor\, is the Division Head for Rh
 eumatology at University of Washington. He has had a stellar career both i
 n academia and industry. After MD\, PhD at University of Helsinki he pursu
 ed his post-doc at the Scripps Clinic in La Jolla\, California and continu
 ed as PI in the La Jolla Institute for Allergy and Immunology and The Burn
 ham Institute for Medical Research for another 15 years. He then shifted g
 ears\, taking a “brief sabbatical” in Amgen and MedImmune and Gilead. 
 During his over 10 years of industry experience\, he led the discovery of 
 several FDA-approved drugs for autoimmune\, inflammatory/respiratory disea
