Simon is exp erienced in building teams and building companies. His academic research g roup studies cellular mechanisms of protein sorting and degradation in the context of health and disease. Their scientific findings have formed the basis of several patent applications\, collaborations with industry\, and three spin-outs raising more than 150 million EUR in investments from top tier venture capital firms to date.
