SUMMARY:Guest seminar by Professor Jo Van Ginderachter: Epigenetic imprinti
ng of monocytes and tissue-resident macrophages by infectious disease and
 cancer
DESCRIPTION:\n\nWelcome to the guest seminar by Professor Jo Van Ginderacht
er!\n\nSpeaker: Professor Jo Van Ginderachter\, Brussels Center for Immuno
logy\nTitle: Epigenetic imprinting of monocytes and tissue-resident macrop
hages by infectious disease and cancer\nLocation: Lauren 2 lecture room\,
Medisiina D\nTime: April 16\, 10-11 am\nHost: InFLAMES Group Leader Maija
 Hollmén\, MediCity Research Laboratory\, University of Turku\n\n&nbsp\;\n
\nAbout the speaker:\n\nProfessor Jo Van Ginderachter is Lab Director of t
he Myeloid Cell Immunology lab at VIB (Center for Inflammation Research) a
nd of the Brussels Center for Immunology lab at Vrije Universiteit Brussel
. He has a long-standing expertise in macrophage biology\, tumour immunolo
gy and applications of nanobodies. He published over 100 peer-reviewed art
icles and 4 book chapters on these topics. Most of the grants of the Van G
inderachter lab are dealing with the characterization of tumour-associated
macrophages and dendritic cells\, several of which deal with nanobody-med
 iated imaging or therapy.\n\nExample publications:\n\nDepleting IL1R2+ Tum
or-Infiltrating Regulatory T Cells with an ADCC-Prone Nanobody Construct B
 oosts the Efficacy of Anti-PD-1 Immunotherapy.\nArnouk SM\, Kancheva D\, V
