SUMMARY:Guest seminar by Professor Jo Van Ginderachter: Epigenetic imprinti
ng of monocytes and tissue-resident macrophages by infectious disease and
 cancer
DESCRIPTION:\n\nWelcome to the guest seminar by Professor Jo Van Ginderacht
er!\n\nSpeaker: Professor Jo Van Ginderachter\, Brussels Center for Immuno
logy\nTitle: Epigenetic imprinting of monocytes and tissue-resident macrop
hages by infectious disease and cancer\nLocation: Lauren 2 lecture room\,
Medisiina D\nTime: April 16\, 10-11 am\nHost: InFLAMES Group Leader Maija
 Hollmén\, MediCity Research Laboratory\, University of Turku\n\nCoffee/te
e and sandwich will be served starting at 9:30.\n\nAbout the speaker:\n\nP
rofessor Jo Van Ginderachter is Lab Director of the Myeloid Cell Immunolog
y lab at VIB (Center for Inflammation Research) and of the Brussels Center
for Immunology lab at Vrije Universiteit Brussel. He has a long-standing
expertise in macrophage biology\, tumour immunology and applications of na
nobodies. He published over 100 peer-reviewed articles and 4 book chapters
on these topics. Most of the grants of the Van Ginderachter lab are deali
ng with the characterization of tumour-associated macrophages and dendriti
c cells\, several of which deal with nanobody-mediated imaging or therapy.
 \n\nExample publications:\n\nDepleting IL1R2+ Tumor-Infiltrating Regulator
y T Cells with an ADCC-Prone Nanobody Construct Boosts the Efficacy of Ant
 i-PD-1 Immunotherapy.\nArnouk SM\, Kancheva D\, Van Damme H\, Courtoy GE\,
