 ersity of California\, Berkeley will be giving a presentation titled Muscl
 e and Whole Body Lactate Kinetics: Organ-Organ\, Cell-Cell\, Intracellular

  short biography of Professor Brooks: George A. Brooks is Distinguished Pr
 ofessor of Integrative Biology\, at the University of California\, Berkele
 y. He has 50+ years of experience in metabolic research\, spanning from wh
 ole body level in humans to cellular scale. He is a pioneer of particularl
 y lactate research and his studies have been cited &gt\;30 000 times. His 
 work has appeared in PNAS and various other prestigious journals. He has s
 ummarized his lactate work and that of others in Cell Metabolism (The Scie
 nce and Translation of Lactate Shuttle Theory - Cell Metab. 2018 Apr 3\;27
 (4):757-785.) and more recent ideas and results can be read in their Natur
 e Metabolism study in regards to postprandial lactate shuttle (Nat Metab. 
 2024 Apr\;6(4):670-677.).
