 iate professor in Cellular Ageing and his research is focused towards iden
 tifying novel mechanisms and biomarkers associated to senescent cells. His
  laboratory has also a strong interest to characterize the pro-disease fun
 ctions of senescent cells induced during aging and by anti-cancer therapie
 s. A major goal is to exploit these findings for the development of rejuve
 nating interventions. In 2018 he co-founded a start-up company\, Cleara Bi
 otech\, devoted to develop anti-senescence drugs.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nSelected p
